FPDonations is a service of Fastpitch Headquarters that will help facilitate credit card donations to your team or softball organization.
There are many fundraising companies that offer online credit card acceptance for donations, but their service fees are usually 6.5% + $1.00 per transaction. That eats into your total donation amounts! On a $100 donation, you would pay $7.50. That doesn't seem like a big deal! But think about 100 donations of $100...the total lost from credit card payments is $750! That is a big deal!
FPDonations only charges 2.9% + .30 per transaction, which is well below the fees charged by the fundraising companies, and it is comparable to normal transaction fees charged by credit card companies for merchant accounts. On a $100 donation, you would pay only $3.20...a significant difference!
Why not get your own merchant account? Merchant accounts also have fixed monthly fees which keep hitting month after month even when donations are not coming in. Since softball fundraising is seasonal, you would still be charged the monthly fees even when you are not playing.
With FPDonations, you are only charged when a donation comes in. The low service fee is taken from your monthly disbursement. No disbursement, no fee! It is easy and economical.
