2023 JUCO KICKOFF CLASSIC AND SHOWCASE
The 2023 JUCO Kickoff Classic and Showcase was our 14th Annual event, and was held on January 27 - 29 in Clearwater Florida at Eddie C Moore Sports Complex.
We had 24 teams this year from Florida, Georgia, Illinois, and South Carolina.
The competition was hot and the spectators were so excited to be watching softball at such a beautiful facility.
We also are so excited to introduce our new streaming service with AthletesGoLIVE.
They stepped in at the last minute and brought a superior video experience for our streaming viewers.
We are honored to be working with such a professional organization.
The weather was beautiful and we had some tremendous competition this year.

This year we saw an increase over last year in the numbers of recruiters that attended in person and watched via streaming.
We had 100+ college recruiters on hand from all over the United States, with schools from NCAA Division II, III, and NAIA.

The 2022 Adidas JUCO Kickoff Classic and Showcase was our 13th Annual event. It was held on January 28 - 30 in Clearwater Florida at Eddie C Moore Sports Complex.
We want to thank all of the junior college teams that participated. We had 27 teams this year from Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, and South Carolina. The competition was hot and the spectators were so excited to be watching softball again. We also had record viewership of the FloSoftball LIVE streamed games.
The level of competition this year was very good as the scores show.

The 2021 Adidas JUCO Kickoff Classic and Showcase was held on January 29 - 31 in Clearwater Florida at Eddie C Moore Sports Complex.
This year we experienced the return of softball after the 2020 year was cancelled due to Covid-19. We had Covid-19 Protocols and Guidelines in place that required masks, social distancing, ball management systems, etc. It was quite a highly successful event that showed that with careful preparation and cooperation softball events can be safe for the sport.
We want to thank all of the junior college teams that participated. Our numbers were down since some of our regular schools have discontinued their programs, and some decided not to participate due to Covid. We had 20 teams this year from Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. The competition was hot and the spectators were so excited to be watching softball again. We also had record viewership of the FloSoftball LIVE streamed games.

AGAIN THIS YEAR - FloSoftball was on site to LIVE stream the games on Complex 1. All of the games on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday were streamed, over 40 games that are still available On-Demand. We had announcers on each field giving color commentary and pertinent player information for family, friends, fans and recruiters watching at home. We had a tremendous number of schools watching the LIVE streamed games and we provided those verified/vetted recruiters with player profiles. The on-site turn-out of 4-year college coach recruiters was down over previous years as NCAA Division 1 schools were not allowed to recruit yet. We had 50+ college recruiters on hand from all over the United States, with schools from NCAA Division II, III, and NAIA. See the List of Attending Colleges.

2020 ADIDAS JUCO KICKOFF CLASSIC AND SHOWCASE
The 2020 Adidas JUCO Kickoff Classic and Showcase was held on January 31 - February 2 in Clearwater Florida at Eddie C Moore Sports Complex.
This year we welcome a new Title Sponsor, Adidas. This is the beginning of a 3 year partnership. We are so excited to be working with a company that is supporting girls and women in sports. Our other sponsors are Reds Team Sports of Tampa, Gatorade, and Jimmy Johns Fort Harrison.
We want to thank all of the junior college teams that participated. We had 32 teams this year from Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Iowa. The competition was hot and the crowds of spectators was standing room only, with wall-to-wall fastpitch fans that were thrilled by exciting games!

The 2012 Florida Fall Signature Showcase was held on September 22-23 in Naples Florida.
The Panthers won the pool Champions for Best Defense,
and donated the cost of the Champion t-shirts to the "Bring Home a Cure" breast cancer fundraiser.

2011 FLORIDA FALL SIGNATURE SHOWCASE
The 2011 Florida Fall Signature Showcase was held on September 23-25 in Naples Florida.
In Pool A, the Gators Gold Flannery won the pool Champions tshirts for Best Defense,
by only giving up 6 runs all weekend. Congratulations!!
In Pool B, the Lady Lightning won the pool Champions tshirts for Best Defense,
by only giving up 11 runs all weekend. Congratulations!!
Our fundraising endeavors for the weekend were very successful.
Our "Bring Home a Cure" tshirt fundraiser for the "Susan G Komen for the Cure"
breast cancer research foundation made $520 in donations.
The used equipment collection for the Aruba Little League Softball program collected bats, balls, catchers gear, helmets, and even a wiffle pitching machine.
Thank you to all who participated in both fundraisers.

THE 2011 PGF FLORIDA QUALIFIER
The 2011 PGF Florida Qualifier offered multiple berths to The PGF Nationals in California.
In the 14s, 4 berths were awarded to Tropic Wave (FL), Lil Saints (AZ),
Irvine Sting (CA), and Raiders (CA)
In the 16s, 6 berths were awarded to Sharks Fastpitch (FL), Crossfire (FL), Tropic Wave (FL),
Orange County Dynasty (CA), Case Batbusters (CA), and Pure Fastpitch (CA).
In the 18s, 4 berths were awarded to SGV Velocity (CA), Lady Gators Gold - Stump (FL),
Mizuno Edge (FL) and Gators Gold - Flannery (FL).

THE 2011 FLORIDA CUP
The 2011 Florida Cup was held on June 18 - 19 in Naples Florida.
This year's event hosted 13 teams in the 18u age group. The teams had pool play on Saturday and a 2 game minimum elimination on Sunday.
The teams loved the beautiful facility, and they loved the situation play and longer playing time.
Congratulations to the 2011 Florida Cup Champions!
The Mizuno Edge ruined the repeat plans of the returning champions Tampa Mustangs Tatum to win the Florida Cup Championship by the score 3-0. The Young Guns finished 3rd.

THE 2010 FLORIDA CUP
The 2010 Florida Cup and Showcase was held on June 19 - 20 in Naples Florida.
This year's event hosted 18 teams in 2 age groups.
The 16s and 18s took the field in pool play on Saturday and a 2 game minimum elimination on Sunday.
The teams loved the beautiful facility, and they loved the situation play and longer playing time.

In the 18u Division, the Tampa Mustangs Tatum won, South Florida Cruisers were Runners-Up,
and Orlando Wildcats Vince were 3rd.
In the 16u division, the Sharks won, Naples Sun Devils were Runners-Up,
and the Lady Knights were 3rd.

We want to thank all of the teams that participated. It was a HUGE success! But boy, was it Cold...unseasonably COLD!!!
But the competition was HOT!! The cold did not stop the players from showing their stuff!

2009 WINTER SIGNATURE SHOWCASE
The Inaugural Winter Signature Showcase was held on January 2 - 4 at the Mills Pond Park Softball Complex in Fort Lauderdale Florida. This tournament was hosted by Fastpitch Headquarters, LDI Sports Consulting & Instruction, and the Florida Fury Fastpitch Program. The proud sponsors were Ringor, Wilson, and Softball Magazine. This winter event was the first in a series of college showcase recruiting tournaments that are also held in the summer and in the fall.
It was a wonderful weekend. The weather was beautiful, and the park was a great venue. Mills Pond Park is a lighted 5 field facility with 200 foot fencing on all fields, batting cages, large dugouts, covered bleachers, lots of parking, no gate fees, and a large concession stand with a covered patio with television. The players, coaches, and fans really enjoyed the park.
The attending teams played all their games at this one park...no moving around to multiple venues. The tournament games were a full 7 innings, with optional extended play if time remained so that the teams could play in front of the coaches as long as they possibly could. The Tournament Director, Patti Shotwell, introduced situation play scenarios into the games that provided the teams with extra challenges during the games, opened up the scoring quite a bit, and made it more exciting to the fans, and a more valuable recruiting opportunity for the college coaches. Everyone loved it. Situation play will be a signature feature of all Signature Showcase events.
With the high-tech expertise of Softball Magazine, FPHQ sponsored live internet webcast broadcasts of 2 games on Sunday that featured play by play and color commentary by Linda Derk of LDI and college coach Jaci Davis from the University of Tampa. The 2 games are available in the Softball Central archives of Softball Magazine online. If you are interested in listening to the games, go to www.softballmag.com and link to Softball Central.
At showcase tournaments, winning is not the primary motivation because the teams are there to show their recruitable players to the attending college coaches. But recognizing the teams' performances and determining a Champion is another feature of the Signature Showcases. In order to keep the focus on showcase performance and not necessarily on playing to win, Champions are determined by least runs allowed, not by won/loss records. If the defensive performance is inconclusive, then offensive production is used with most runs scored.
